Renewable Energy Engineer – Data Centres & Advisory

About the role

Fyfe, an Australian multidisciplinary consultancy covering engineering, environment, planning and surveying, is hiring a Renewable Energy Engineer for its Renewable Energy, Data Centres & Advisory team in Melbourne. The role covers the planning and delivery of renewable energy, energy storage and data centre projects, from feasibility and design through to project delivery, working with experienced technical leaders and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary engineering projects across renewable energy, energy storage, data centres and critical power infrastructure.
• Deliver feasibility studies, technical assessments, project optimisation and other advisory services.
• Contribute to grid connection activities, power system design and critical infrastructure power solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Develop sustainable methodologies and stay current with emerging technologies and market requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and designers through workshops, client meetings and site visits.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, Network Service Providers and stakeholders, focusing on safety, quality and client outcomes.
• Support proposals and new project pursuits.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in renewable energy, power systems, electrical engineering or related infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of renewable energy, BESS, grid connection or critical power infrastructure projects.
• Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full Australian working rights; agency applications are not accepted.
