Reliability Engineer – Worsley Alumina

About the role

The Reliability Engineer will provide reliability engineering expertise to optimise maintenance strategies, improve asset performance and support safe, efficient operations at the Worsley Alumina refinery. This permanent position works on a 9‑day fortnight roster and requires the incumbent to be based locally, as there is no on‑site accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and continuously improve preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance programmes.
• Monitor asset health, analyse equipment performance and conduct failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Review maintenance and work‑management effectiveness, ensuring SAP data and compliance support reliable operations.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, implement equipment upgrades and manage change.
• Support broader asset‑management initiatives across the refinery.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering and maintenance optimisation.
• Proven ability to analyse equipment performance data and lead RCA investigations.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
