Rehabilitation Consultant (Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology)

About the role

IPAR, a national occupational rehabilitation provider, is looking for Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology professionals to join its team in Central Coast NSW as a Rehabilitation Consultant. The role offers flexibility and autonomy within a multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors. It welcomes new graduates and early-career professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants
• Deliver occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, aiming for sustainable return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes
• Partner with employers and employees to deliver injury prevention and workplace education programs
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, insurers and healthcare professionals
• Carry out clinical and vocational assessments: initial assessments, workplace assessments, functional capacity assessments, Activity Daily Assessments (ADL) and vocational assessments
• Identify barriers and design practical solutions to support recovery and return to work

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
• General registration with AHPRA, or ESSA accreditation aligned with SIRA requirements for workplace and functional capacity assessments
• Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded
• Good communication, compassion, empathy and time management skills
• Current NSW driver's licence and access to a car with comprehensive insurance
