Rehabilitation Consultant - Occupational Therapist

About the role

IPAR, a workplace rehabilitation provider in the MedHealth network, is recruiting a Rehabilitation Consultant Occupational Therapist for its Darwin team. The role sits within a wellbeing-focused workplace and offers exposure to aged care, community-based OT, ergonomic assessments and DVA home assessments, including the Re-thinking Recovery program using virtual reality and pain science. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across workplace rehabilitation, aged care and community-based services, with support from Rehabilitation Assistants
• Help clients with injury, illness or age-related needs improve function, independence at home and return to work
• Conduct ADL assessments in the home and community, recommending equipment, home modifications and support services
• Complete ergonomic and workplace assessments
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers
• Work across workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare and DVA schemes
• Deliver clear, timely reports with clinical reasoning and practical recommendations

Required profile

• Occupational Therapy qualification
• Full professional registration with AHPRAS
• Current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle
• Strong communication and time management skills, able to work independently and in a team
