Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery

About the role

Goulburn Valley Health is looking for an experienced neonatal nurse to join its Level 4 Special Care Nursery (SCN) team at the Graham Street Campus in Shepparton. The role delivers family-centred, specialised care to newborns and their families in a multidisciplinary setting, with 64 hours per fortnight on a permanent part-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care to newborns requiring specialised neonatal support.
• Monitor and manage infants with prematurity, feeding difficulties, respiratory conditions, jaundice and other neonatal care needs.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, the neonatal nurse practitioner, maternity teams and allied health professionals.
• Support and educate parents so they can care for their baby during admission and after discharge.
• Take part in quality improvement activities and maintain clinical competence in neonatal assessment, monitoring and stabilisation.

Required profile

• Dedicated, compassionate clinician with experience as a neonatal nurse.
• Passion for specialised care of newborns and their families.
• Qualifications must be attached to the application if they are a requirement, as set out in the Position Description.
