Registered Nurse – Radiology (Grade 3)

About the role

I-MED Radiology Network is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 3) to join its multidisciplinary team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in East Melbourne and other central Melbourne clinics. This full‑time permanent position offers a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with weekends off, allowing you to provide high‑quality nursing support throughout patient journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Assist radiologists with interventional procedures such as biopsies, epidurals, spinal injections, lumbar punctures, PICC insertions and port management.
• Obtain informed consent, review medical histories, monitor patient observations, and deliver post‑procedure recovery care.
• Maintain a safe clinical environment, ensure emergency equipment is ready, and act as senior nurse mentor for junior staff.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Proven experience in radiology nursing and acute care settings.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Assisting with biopsies and other interventional radiology procedures.
• PICC insertion and port management.
• Monitoring patient vitals and providing post‑procedure care.
