Registered Nurse – Primary Healthcare (Canberra)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join the multidisciplinary team at the ACT Health Centre in Canberra. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality primary healthcare and supporting Defence members across a range of clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary health assessments, vaccinations and routine nursing care.
• Monitor and manage patients on the 24‑hour low‑dependency ward.
• Collaborate with general practitioners, physiotherapists, mental‑health clinicians and dental professionals.
• Support injury recovery, chronic condition management and preventative health programmes for Defence personnel.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one year experience in acute care, primary health care or a military environment.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Australian citizenship (baseline security clearance).
• Commitment to continuing professional development and patient‑centred care.
