Registered Nurse - Part-Time Night Shift

About the role

Aegis Aged Care, the largest privately owned aged care provider in Western Australia, is looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its team at Aegis Amherst in Canning Vale. This is a part-time night shift position covering Tuesday and Wednesday from 21:45 to 07:15.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments, anticipate residents' changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals.
• Support residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions or concerns.
• Ensure care documentation is completed and that the appropriate strategies are implemented.
• Identify and manage clinical risk in the aged care setting.
• Support, coach, monitor and mentor unregulated care workers, and provide clinical expertise to the care team.
• Provide support to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
• Ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor care and lifestyle staff.
