Registered Nurse - Night Shifts, Aged Care Home

About the role

PresCare Alexandra Gardens, part of the Apollo Care Alliance, is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality clinical care during weekday night shifts in its 93-bed residential aged care home. Reporting to the Manager, the nurse oversees overnight clinical requirements, responds to changes in resident conditions, manages medications and supports care staff to ensure resident safety and continuity of care. The role suits someone confident managing AM, PM and overnight care in a larger setting.

Key responsibilities

• Holistic assessment in partnership with residents and their representatives
• Development and evaluation of individualized resident care plans
• Supervision and support of Personal Care Workers
• Clinical care including wound management, palliative care and medication management
• Liaison with medical and allied health care staff
• Providing safe, high-quality care in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Ensuring a positive resident experience through a resident-first approach

Required profile

• AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience providing clinical care in the aged care sector
• NDIS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for a person-centred approach to care
