About the role

Join the Special Care Nursery at Rockhampton Hospital as a Registered Nurse delivering holistic, family‑integrated neonatal care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for newborns and their families.
• Monitor clinical condition changes and respond promptly.
• Support patient and family education and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Develop clinical leadership and enhance neonatal nursing capability.

Required profile

• Compassionate RN with a strong commitment to safe, high‑quality neonatal care.
• Effective communication and ability to build respectful relationships with families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Evidence‑based practice mindset, ongoing learning and adaptability.
• Current AHPRA registration and practising certificate.
• At least two years of neonatal nursing experience or working towards a relevant qualification.
