Registered Nurse

About the role

The Registered Nurse will coordinate resident care with staff teams to ensure optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for residents within the council’s aged care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead an integrated team of professional care staff and mentor Team Leaders and EENs.
• Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical care in consultation with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Produce accurate, comprehensive documentation including care plans, medication charts and incident reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality indicators, accreditation standards, internal audits and emergency infection control procedures.
• Oversee clinical education, wound and medication management, and competency assessments.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to WHS and EEO principles and ability to provide on‑call after‑hours assistance.
• Current Class C driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to produce high‑quality clinical documentation and reports.
