Registered Nurse – Inpatient Mental Health

About the role

Lead great clinical care in a new 32‑bed adult inpatient mental health facility at Rockhampton Hospital. Provide person‑centred, evidence‑based care for consumers with complex needs while upholding their rights and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and review safe, evidence‑based care for consumers across high and low dependency units.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, families and external services to ensure continuity of care between inpatient and community settings.
• Provide shift coordination, clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff and students.
• Champion innovation, manage risks and contribute to a supportive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration through AHPRA.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and patient‑centred care.
• Ability to work independently, support safety and quality programs and navigate contemporary information systems.
