Registered Nurse In Charge – Residential Aged Care

About the role

Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse In Charge for its residential aged care service at Mercy Place Warrnambool. The role provides clinical leadership and resident-focused care, working closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator, Service Manager and the multidisciplinary team. It is a casual position covering AM, PM and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, resident-focused clinical care using a person-centred approach.
• Lead, mentor and support a team of nurses and care staff.
• Oversee clinical operations and provide leadership in the absence of the Service Manager.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct assessments, care planning, treatment and documentation to the highest standard.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with aged care standards and policies.
• Work with community agencies and healthcare professionals to achieve positive resident outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in residential aged care.
• Experience leading and supervising clinical teams.
• Recognition of a tertiary qualification and current AHPRA registration, or in the process of obtaining them.
• Record of achievement in residential aged care.
• Valid police check.
