Registered Nurse - Coronary Care Unit

About the role

Belmont Hospital's Coronary Care Unit / Critical Care Observation Unit (CCU/COU) in Lake Macquarie is seeking Registered Nurses to provide specialised cardiac and acute patient care in an 8-bed unit offering advanced cardiac monitoring. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with a stated requirement of 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and complex medical conditions
• Undertake clinical assessments and monitor patients using advanced cardiac monitoring systems
• Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and emergency situations
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate care, support and education to patients and their families
• Apply clinical judgement and evidence-based practice to maintain patient safety and quality care

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Experience in acute, coronary care, critical care or high-dependency nursing is highly regarded
• Eligibility for permanent employment requires Australian citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or a New Zealand passport; visa sponsorship is not offered
