Registered Nurse – Clinical Practice

About the role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Lismore Doctors team. The RN will work closely with physicians and support staff to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred care in a busy general practice setting.

Key responsibilities

• Take vital signs, record health histories and discuss symptoms with patients.
• Administer medications, immunisations and other injections.
• Perform triage, wound management, chronic disease management and ECGs.
• Explain procedures, provide support and reassurance to patients.
• Assist with care plans, shared health summaries and telehealth consultations.
• Support doctors during clinical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate the treatment room – stock control, sterilisation, equipment maintenance.
• Implement infection‑control practices and contribute to reception and practice‑management duties.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented attitude.
• Experience working in an accredited General Practice environment.
• Compassionate, proactive and able to work with urgency.
