Registered Nurse (Aged Care) - Northshore & Northern Beaches

About the role

A casual Registered Nurse position in aged care facilities across the North Shore and Northern Beaches area of Sydney (Belrose, Turramurra, Wahroonga, Chatswood, Collaroy, St Ives, Manly, Northbridge and nearby areas). Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise a team of Personal Carers to deliver high-quality care for residents.
• Liaise with the Clinical Manager, doctors, allied health and visiting specialists on care plans, and evaluate residents' care needs.
• Keep accurate records of care delivery and ensure safe medication administration, best-practice wound care and clinical support.
• Work within the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality Standards, and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for residents and staff.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Complete COVID-19 vaccination including a booster, flu vaccination, and full working rights in Australia.
• First Aid and CPR certification, current police check and NDIS worker screening check.
• Ability to work a variety of shift times, with at least 3 days of availability and willingness to travel.
• Good communication and customer service skills, sound nursing judgement and commitment to ongoing professional development.
