Registered Nurse - Aged Care

About the role

Aegis Aged Care is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its 140-bed residential aged care facility, Aegis Ellenvale, in Broadwater, Western Australia. The facility provides care for both low and high care residents and overlooks Broadwater Lake. The role involves supporting the care team, mentoring unregulated care workers and ensuring safe, high-quality nursing aligned with resident preferences. A part-time role is available.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments, and anticipate residents' changing health needs by initiating further assessments or referrals.
• Support residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions and concerns.
• Ensure care documentation is completed and that appropriate strategies are implemented.
• Identify and manage clinical risk in the aged care setting.
• Support, coach, monitor and mentor unregulated care workers, and provide clinical expertise to the care team.
• Work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
• Empathetic, with a genuine passion for aged care.
• Ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor care and lifestyle staff.
