Regional Manager - Civil Construction, Bridgewater

About the role

Stabilised Pavements Group, a nationally recognised pavement construction, rehabilitation and maintenance company founded almost 45 years ago and employing over 250 people, is recruiting a Regional Manager for its Tasmanian operations. Reporting to the General Manager, South East and based at the Bridgewater depot near Hobart, the role leads the region and drives its strategic direction. It covers business, financial, safety, technical, contract and project management, business development, client relationships, sales and marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local team and manage business, financial, safety, technical, contract and project matters, plus business development, client relationships, sales and marketing.
• Deliver full-service and subcontract civil construction projects in line with specifications, financial and reporting requirements.
• Manage relationship and marketing with new and existing clients, prepare quotes, tenders and pricing, and give technical advice to clients.
• Liaise with the Operations Manager on project scheduling and resource allocation.
• Manage invoicing, reporting, budgeting and monthly job costs, and oversee contract and project management under the company framework.
• Maintain compliance with legislative requirements and company management systems, and advise on improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a similar client-facing role.
• Extensive knowledge of civil construction, preferably with exposure to pavements and stabilisation.
• Understanding of the Tasmanian road maintenance and construction market.
• Experience in construction contract management and commercial acumen.
• Ability to lead a team and maintain a safe workplace.
• Engineering qualification or another tertiary qualification preferred.
