Regional Manager – Australia & New Zealand

About the role

The Regional Manager will drive profitable growth and strengthen Cambi’s market position across Australia and New Zealand. The role splits between regional sales & market development and key‑account/O&M business development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional sales and market‑development plan, owning the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract award.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects, positioning Cambi’s technology by communicating technical, environmental and financial benefits.
• Manage relationships with municipalities, utilities, consultants, contractors and other market stakeholders.
• Lead public tenders, contractor‑led bids and commercial negotiations, and maintain accurate CRM data.
• Act as primary contact for client plants, delivering O&M services, spare‑parts sales and overseeing procurement of suppliers and service partners.
• Develop and commercialise the regional O&M service offering, including proposal development, service reviews and contract negotiations.
• Provide on‑site services such as maintenance supervision, troubleshooting, process monitoring and optimisation while ensuring safety compliance.

Required profile

• Commercially driven, results‑oriented with at least six years of senior‑level experience in technical sales, business development or O&M services.
• Strong track record of delivering commercial results in a complex B2B environment, especially with public‑sector customers and tenders.
• Ability to translate technical and operational needs into clear commercial value.
• Excellent written and spoken English, persuasive communication and strong relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region.

Required skills

• Knowledge of wastewater and sludge‑treatment processes, anaerobic digestion or related technologies.
• Experience developing, selling or managing O&M contracts or long‑term service agreements.
• Technical background in process, environmental, mechanical, electrical, automation, chemical or water engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
