About the role

Urban is a fast‑growing real‑estate network across Sydney and the Hunter. As a Recruitment Officer you will be the first point of contact for future Urban employees, driving talent acquisition and building high‑performing teams across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Attract and engage top talent across all divisions, building strong candidate pipelines.
• Provide fast, professional responses to applications and enquiries, ensuring a seamless, on‑brand candidate experience.
• Screen candidates and conduct first‑round interviews to identify the right fit and keep the hiring process moving.
• Coordinate with hiring managers, delivering clear recommendations and supporting efficient hiring decisions.
• Deliver timely, honest feedback to all candidates, leaving a positive impression of Urban.
• Create compelling job ads and drive recruitment marketing on key platforms.
• Proactively source candidates through outreach and cold‑calling, uncovering passive talent.
• Build and nurture talent pools using relevant tools and platforms.
• Maintain meticulous records across job boards, reference checks, and candidate files.
• Manage offer stages, communicating salary, start dates, and contract structures clearly.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Confidence to assess, challenge, and make recruitment recommendations.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Proactive mindset – you take initiative and drive results.
• Genuine interest in people, recruitment, and building high‑performing teams.
• Creativity in attracting talent through ads, branding, and social media.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bonus: experience in recruitment, sales, or real estate (not essential).
