Recruitment Lead

About the role

This position sits within a major industrial client’s business as the RPO Recruitment Lead. You will act as the bridge between a fast‑moving operation and the talent that keeps it running, taking full ownership of outcomes rather than acting as an external agency recruiter.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of recruiters, coaching, prioritising workloads and ensuring quality across a high‑volume electrical and mining construction hiring portfolio.
• Serve as the primary recruitment partner for senior client stakeholders, providing guidance, advice and strategic push‑back when needed.
• Drive end‑to‑end hiring processes, delivering volume recruitment for electrical and mining construction disciplines.
• Build and maintain robust reporting and management information to give the client visibility over pipeline, time‑to‑fill and delivery performance.
• Present workforce trends, recruitment performance and strategic recommendations to senior client leaders.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks proactively, maintaining consistency, compliance and a high‑quality candidate experience.
• Adapt recruitment strategy and priorities in a dynamic environment, acting as an agile operator.

Required profile

• Proven experience in blue‑collar or industrial recruitment, with a solid understanding of trades.
• Background in RPO, internal or embedded recruitment (agency experience acceptable if transitioning).
• Experience leading or mentoring a recruitment team, formally or informally.
• Strong stakeholder advisory skills, confident in guiding hiring managers.
• Solid reporting and data capability, comfortable building dashboards and presenting metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume pipelines while maintaining candidate and stakeholder experience.
• Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior business leaders.
• Adaptable and unflappable, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities.
