Reception Services Officer

About the role
The Reception Services Officer is the first point of contact for clients, staff, visitors and contractors, shaping the initial impression of the organisation. This role ensures that all enquiries are handled promptly, accurately and in line with departmental values.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a professional telephone and front‑desk service to the public, service providers and internal staff.
- Welcome and acknowledge all visitors and callers, respecting diversity and responding to their needs.
- Identify the purpose of each enquiry, assess required services and direct callers or visitors to the appropriate program area.
- Maintain effective working relationships and liaise professionally with staff at all levels.
Required profile
- Australian citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid work permit/visa.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a helpful, customer‑focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain professional relationships.
