Quality Manager – Aged Care

About the role

A well-established, community-focused not-for-profit organisation supporting older Australians through residential aged care, retirement living and community services is seeking an experienced Quality Manager. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the role strengthens quality governance, assurance and continuous improvement across the organisation, working alongside operational and clinical leaders to ensure quality frameworks are practical and effective.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Assurance Strategy and the annual assurance program
• Strengthen quality frameworks aligned with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
• Oversee internal audits, regulatory readiness and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities from incidents, complaints, feedback and quality data
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical processes and systems
• Provide insights and reporting to executive leadership and governance committees
• Lead, mentor and support the Quality Coordinator

Required profile

• Experience in quality, risk, compliance and governance within aged care, healthcare, disability or another regulated human services environment
• Strong knowledge of aged care quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience managing audits, quality frameworks and continuous improvement systems
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Confidence to influence leaders and drive positive change
• A relevant tertiary qualification; clinical qualifications desirable
• Experience in clinical governance and residential or community aged care highly regarded
