Quality Engineer

About the role

CORTO is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of its next‑generation accounting and AI‑driven products for legal professionals. You will work closely with senior engineers, developers, UX/UI, and DevOps teams in a fast‑moving, product‑heavy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute and maintain automated tests for web and API applications using TypeScript, JavaScript or Python.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing across new and existing features.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate defects, understand technical changes and identify quality risks.
• Contribute automated tests to CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot failures.
• Document defects, test coverage, risks and outcomes, and help improve QE processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in software testing of web applications and APIs.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and seek guidance when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive learning attitude and genuine interest in product quality.

Required skills

• TypeScript, JavaScript, Python.
• Modern web or API automation tools (e.g., Playwright).
• Version control with Git and experience in CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of API testing, HTTP requests/responses and status codes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (optional).
