Quality Engineer

About the role

Join Qantas' new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide as a Quality Engineer. You will embed robust testing strategies and automation practices to ensure our digital products are reliable, performant, and secure, directly contributing to exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, create and maintain high‑quality test cases using Jira Zephyr.
• Execute manual and automated functional, regression and end‑to‑end testing across front‑end and back‑end systems.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites with Playwright or Cypress.
• Build UI and browser‑based automated tests that replicate real user journeys.
• Perform cross‑browser testing using LambdaTest and BrowserStack.
• Conduct API testing with REST Assured and contract testing with Pact.
• Identify, triage and resolve defects, providing clear impact analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to define test strategies, risk mitigation and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience working in agile squads delivering software solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate defect impact.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement of testing processes.
