Quality Control Technician – Laboratory Automation

About the role

Brooks Automation is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support its Laboratory Automation Solutions division. You will play a key part in ensuring that incoming and outgoing products meet strict quality and engineering standards, while helping to resolve issues and maintain the overall quality system.

Key responsibilities

• Champion all quality control processes within the manufacturing environment.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products to verify compliance with quality and engineering specifications.
• Resolve quality issues identified by the manufacturing team.
• Maintain key functions of the quality system, including disposition of non‑conformances.
• Liaise with suppliers on non‑conformance matters.
• Assist the Quality Manager in reviewing customer defect claims.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure production documentation is up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar quality role.
• Engineering trade background or strong production experience.
• Hands‑on experience with metal machining, sheet metal forming, metal casting, and plastic moulding processes.
• Knowledge of GD&T and metrology techniques is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, and travel domestically and internationally.
