Quality Control Inspector – Laboratory Automation

About the role

Brooks Automation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support its Laboratory Automation Solutions division. You will help ensure that incoming and outgoing products meet rigorous quality and engineering standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Champion all quality control processes across the laboratory automation product line.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products to verify compliance with quality and engineering specifications.
• Resolve quality issues identified by manufacturing and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain key functions of the Quality Management System, including disposition of non‑conformances.
• Liaise with suppliers on non‑conformance matters and support customer defect claim reviews.
• Conduct internal audits and keep production documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
• Engineering trade background or strong production experience.
• Hands‑on experience with metal machining, sheet‑metal forming, metal casting, and plastic moulding.
• Knowledge of GD&T and metrology techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS 16949 and lean manufacturing principles.
