Qualified Swim Teacher - Adaptive & Inclusive Swimming

About the role

Clublinks Management manages and operates the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) on behalf of the City of Darebin; the centre opened in November 2023 and includes indoor and outdoor pools, aquatic play spaces, gyms, fitness studios, health suites, a café, a reformer Pilates studio and more. Clublinks wants qualified swim teachers who can lead lessons for all ages and abilities, with a focus on inclusive and adaptive swimming.

Key responsibilities

• Lead swimming lessons for people of all ages and abilities
• Teach water safety skills so everyone can learn and enjoy swimming
• Create a safe, supportive environment for all participants

Required profile

• Swim teacher with experience in adaptive or inclusive swim instruction
• Understanding of inclusion and experience working with young people of varying needs and support
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Working with Children Check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to connect with participants and their families
• Patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to teaching
• Additional teaching qualifications are preferred but not essential
