Purchasing Officer – Site Operations

About the role

MLG Oz is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join its Inventory & Purchasing team at a mining site in Perth. The role supports fast‑paced site operations by ensuring the timely procurement of materials and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders for site materials and equipment.
• Liaise with suppliers to monitor order status and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory data.
• Collaborate with site teams to forecast material needs.

Required profile

• Based in Perth.
• Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing, stores or a similar role.
• Previous mining industry experience; crushing industry experience is highly regarded.
• Current C Class driver’s licence and High‑Risk Work Licence – Forklift.
• Strong customer service, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening and obtain required security clearances.

Required skills

• Experience using purchasing and inventory management systems.
