Purchasing Officer

About the role

Mineral Resources is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Officer to support its growing procurement function. The role will focus on cost‑effective, timely acquisition of goods and services while ensuring compliance with internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Procure goods and services to deliver value‑driven outcomes.
• Maintain accurate purchase order data and adhere to approved procurement standards.
• Prevent procurement of banned or unauthorised items.
• Address system queries, educate end users, and provide after‑hours support for urgent needs.
• Uphold governance and compliance across all procurement activities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Prioritise workload to meet business requirements and escalate system issues promptly.
• Participate in improvement projects under leadership guidance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a Purchasing Officer, preferably in the resources sector.
• Experience with forward purchase agreements.
• Strong time‑management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure both independently and within a team.
• Agile, collaborative mindset with a commitment to diversity and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Coupa P2P system (preferred)
