Pump Technician

About the role

JTMEC, part of the Epiroc Group and serving the mining and civil and construction industries, is seeking a motivated Pump Technician for its Orange workshop. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build technical skills; on-the-job training is provided. The roster is Monday to Friday (5/2) with stable full-time employment and regular overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Test, service and repair submersible pumps
• Load and unload pumps, components and workshop stock
• Complete delivery dockets and associated documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop
• Carry out deliveries and site visits, including underground mining operations
• Support workshop operations so equipment is ready for customer delivery

Required profile

• Basic practical knowledge of hand tools
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, honest and safety-focused, committed to a Zero Harm culture
• Current C Class driver's licence
• Good verbal and written communication
• Previous mechanical, workshop, mining or pump experience is highly regarded but not essential

Preferred qualifications

• MR or HR driver's licence
• Forklift licence
• Mechanical trade qualification or strong mechanical aptitude
• LVR/CPR certification
