Psychologist - Early Start Australia

About the role

Early Start Australia, part of the APM Group, is hiring a psychologist for its Elizabeth clinic. You will join an allied health team supporting children and young people aged 0-16 and their families, working across assessment, therapy and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• New client assessments: prepare with referrals and questionnaires, conduct standardised and informal assessments (e.g. WPPSI, WISC, WRAT, WRAML, ADOS, MIGDAS), give timely feedback and issue reports within two weeks
• Assessment, counselling and therapy, managing caseloads including complex clients and developing individualised therapy programs across clinic, home, school and community settings
• Home and school-based activities, progress monitoring, referrals to other disciplines and group programs
• Reporting: clinical notes within 24 hours, reports to stakeholders and funders, incident and complaint records
• Align therapy plans with funding such as NDIS, and take part in supervision, meetings and professional development while complying with registration standards, WHS and child safety requirements

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in solution-focused therapy and early intervention
• Understanding of individualised services and the ability to adapt them to individual needs
• Ability to engage with children, families and external stakeholders
• Relevant psychology qualification, AHPRA registration and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check, current driver's licence, Working with Children check, National Police Check and accredited first aid certificate
