About the role
The role is with a leading international law firm in Melbourne, joining the Projects & Infrastructure practice as an Associate Solicitor. You will work on nationally significant construction and energy projects, providing legal advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on construction mandates, regulatory compliance and building legislation.
- Support project delivery issues, statutory processes, regulatory proceedings and appeals.
- Handle contentious and non‑contentious matters, including civil litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
Required profile
- 2‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong background in projects, construction, energy and/or infrastructure work.
- Excellent commercial awareness and outstanding academic record.
- Technically excellent with strong negotiation abilities.
- Willingness to engage in business development and work both independently and as part of a team.
