Project Manager - Residential & Commercial Construction

About the role

An established and growing construction business is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a mix of high-end residential and industrial/commercial projects. Residential work focuses on bespoke homes, and the business plans to expand into larger luxury homes valued at $5m-$6m over the next 12 months. The position is full-time in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects from pre-construction through to practical completion, meeting programme, budget, quality and safety targets
• Manage 2-3 projects at once
• Oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement and contract administration
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams
• Monitor performance, quality assurance and compliance
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships and project risks, variations and commercial outcomes
• Work with the leadership team to support business growth

Required profile

• 4-5+ years of project management experience in construction
• Experience with residential, bespoke housing and/or industrial/commercial projects
• Comfortable with projects from small builds to complex ones
• Relevant tertiary or trade qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline

Required skills

• Construction methodology, programming, procurement and project financials
• Managing subcontractors, consultants and clients
• Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills
