Project Manager – Defence Projects (Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney)

About the role

Providence Consulting Group is seeking experienced Project Managers and Project Support Officers to join its defence portfolio. The roles are full‑time and available across Australia, with a preference for candidates based in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide or Sydney. Both permanent and contract arrangements are welcomed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support project work packages across land, sea, air, joint and space domains.
• Coordinate project activities within the Australian Defence acquisition and sustainment environment.
• Engage and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Deliver project outcomes in line with client expectations and organisational standards.

Required profile

• Existing or reinstatable Australian Defence security clearance.
• Proven project management or project support experience within the Commonwealth Aerospace and Defence Group (CASG).
• Experience working in a defence acquisition or sustainment setting.
• PRINCE2 or PMBOK certification is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities.
• High emotional intelligence and, preferably, consulting experience.
