Project Manager - Darwin

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects within its Defence and Security business in Darwin. You will work on the Estate Works Program (EWP) under a ten‑year Project Delivery Service contract, delivering high‑impact projects from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure projects through all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement.
• Manage project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Bureau Veritas standards.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget, focusing on risk management and continuous improvement.
• Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout.
• Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to obtain/maintain one).
• Proven experience managing construction projects, preferably in Defence or Government sectors.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.
• Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
