Project Manager – Construction

About the role

BM Doors, a leading door installation and construction company, is looking for two experienced Project Managers to join its Queanbeyan team on a full‑time basis. The role oversees the delivery of door‑related construction projects from start‑up to handover, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site operations and liaise with site teams to meet project specifications.
• Develop, review and maintain project documentation such as door, frame and hardware schedules and design files.
• Engage with clients to capture requirements, address concerns and provide regular progress updates.
• Manage procurement, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Implement and monitor health, safety and environmental standards, including SWMS.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, resolving issues and applying corrective actions.
• Control project costs, track expenses and keep projects within approved budgets.
• Prepare and maintain contracts, drawings, specifications and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with Australian legislation, standards and the Building Code.
• Conduct QA/QC, commissioning activities and uphold best‑practice installation techniques.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience in the construction industry.
• Security industry experience is highly regarded.
• Possession of a Construction Industry White Card (preferred).
• Asbestos and silica awareness certifications (desirable).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government and Defence security clearances.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
