Project Manager - Bridges, Structures & Ports

About the role

AECOM is seeking experienced professionals with a background in technical delivery to join its Sydney team and lead multidisciplinary teams on transportation, bridges, structures and maritime projects. The role combines technical excellence with project leadership, delivering high-quality outcomes for clients while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage components of, or entire, bridge, civil structures and maritime infrastructure projects depending on size and complexity
• Manage project scope, programme, resources, commercial performance, quality and risk
• Coordinate project teams across disciplines and act as a key client interface with clients, contractors and stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for design, inspection, assessment and rehabilitation projects
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies
• Contribute to proposals, fee estimates and work-winning activities
• Mentor junior engineers and project delivery staff and champion safe, sustainable delivery

Required profile

• 5-10 years' experience delivering transportation, bridges, civil structures and/or maritime infrastructure projects
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) status and/or Professional Engineer registration, or working towards it
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing scope, schedule, resources and budgets
• Experience in bridge, structural asset management, inspection, assessment, rehabilitation and/or design projects
• Experience preparing proposals, fee submissions and technical reports
• Advantageous: experience with state government, transport agencies, port authorities or major infrastructure clients
