Project Engineer - Site Supervision

About the role

The Project Engineer – Site Supervision provides on‑site engineering oversight for a project at Port Botany, NSW. The role ensures design intent, safety standards and quality requirements are met throughout installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Review punch‑lists and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and WHS legislation.
• Monitor progress against project plans, prepare site reports and escalate risks or deviations as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the safety manager, project manager and engineering teams.
• Support commissioning activities and promote compliance with Australian standards.

Required profile

• Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering background.
• Project Management and Project Planning experience to coordinate schedules, resources and milestones.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil) and experience in site supervision or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of Australian standards, WHS legislation and construction/industrial plant environments.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and work safely on‑site.
• White card for construction area access is desirable.
