Project Engineer

About the role

ICON Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer to support a mix of brownfield and greenfield offshore infrastructure projects, including drilling rig and platform design, equipment modifications, and field development. You will work closely with senior project managers to develop strong project management capabilities while delivering technical packages.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, and delivery of offshore infrastructure and equipment design projects.
• Manage discrete work packages, including design, sub‑contractor coordination, and offshore installation scopes.
• Support on‑site execution phases, ensuring compliance with offshore codes and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design, fabrication, transportation, and installation processes.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified engineer (structural or mechanical).
• 5+ years post‑graduate engineering experience, with at least 3 years in oil and gas.
• Proven track record delivering design or installation packages.
• Familiarity with offshore codes and specifications (DNV, API, AISC) is desirable.
• Understanding of design, fabrication, on‑shore construction, offshore transportation, and installation methods.
