Project Engineer – Data Centre (Western Sydney)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major data centre construction team in Western Sydney. The role involves technical coordination of construction activities, working closely with design, services and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of a large‑scale infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design, engineering and construction activities to ensure buildability and efficient delivery.
• Drive programme outcomes through planning, forecasting and progress monitoring.
• Manage design changes while maintaining cost and budget controls.
• Liaise with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure works comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements and the Building Code of Australia.
• Support procurement activities, including subcontract package preparation and tender reviews.
• Contribute to site safety planning and ensure adherence to OH&S requirements.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, design coordination and project delivery.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen with experience in procurement, tendering and subcontract management.
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant statutory requirements.
