Project Cost Controller

About the role

Evolution Mining is looking for a skilled Project Cost Controller to join the Northparkes team. You will provide end‑to‑end cost control for capital projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting while supporting governance and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, track costs, forecast and produce regular reports.
• Analyse project data to spot overruns, risks, opportunities and scope changes.
• Support implementation and compliance with project governance processes, policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate project data and reporting systems, including SAP Project Builder.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
• Provide administrative and document‑management support across project activities.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives for cost control and reporting practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project cost control or a comparable financial/project role.
• Background in capital projects within mining, construction or heavy‑industry environments.
• Strong analytical ability, high attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of SAP (Project Builder).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
