Project Architect - Sport and Entertainment Venues

About the role

A global architecture organisation is looking for a mid-career Project Architect to deliver concept design, documentation and delivery of major sport and cultural projects for high-profile clients. The role works closely with project leads, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers, and positions the candidate for progression to an Associate-level position. It is based in Melbourne CBD.

Key responsibilities

• Translate ambitious design concepts into precise, practical and buildable architectural solutions.
• Drive the coordination and delivery of complex sports project packages from concept through to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, project leads, consultants, contractors and suppliers to integrate complex systems.
• Review technical drawings, details and documentation to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and design intent.
• Use parametric design approaches to test, refine and communicate stadium geometries.
• Contribute to the growth of the sports team, with the chance to move toward a senior or Associate-level role.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Architecture and about 8-12 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience on high-profile sports, cultural or other large-scale architectural projects.
• Familiarity with Australian standards and NCC codes.
• Confident sketching and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical ideas clearly.
• Personal interest in attending sports and cultural events is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Revit with strong BIM capability.
• Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Advantageous: experience across large-scale sports, entertainment or aviation projects.
