Program Manager - GMO (Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment)

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking a Program Manager (GMO) for its Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program, which supports the Space and Mission Systems product line and contributes to Australia's defence mission. The role sits within the new Centre for Collaboration in Cannon Hill, Queensland, and is a full-time permanent position with hybrid work. It acts as a dual role: primary responsibility for the GMO, with delegations as Deputy JGSTE Program Manager, offering a path to become the next JGSTE Program Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Defence's gas capability requirements and develop strategies in consultation with the Defence customer
• Work with Defence stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver value-for-money solutions through project plans
• Provide direct support to the JGSTE Program Manager
• Lead and manage all assigned programs and projects, and lead and manage a team within the program
• Liaise with stakeholders ranging from the ADF to subcontractors
• Ensure project goals are achieved and customer expectations are met or exceeded, and maintain customer satisfaction
• Coordinate project deliverables and meet KPIs within the Contract Performance Framework

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years in project management and/or engineering on defence sustainment support projects (understanding of the defence environment highly desirable)
• Experience in solution and proposal development, including the financial and commercial aspects of a proposal
• Demonstrated skills in financial cost control using earned value principles
• High standard of written and verbal communication
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
