Program and Project Director

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Program and Project Director to lead major infrastructure programmes from a client‑side perspective. You will influence outcomes across project lifecycles, build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and drive strategic, safe, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development, procurement, construction and commissioning across multiple concurrent projects.
• Build and manage high‑performing, resilient teams while fostering a client‑first mindset.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, asset owners, construction partners, regulators and community representatives.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets and ensure compliance with technical, environmental, operational and social requirements.
• Promote innovation, continuous improvement and transparent methodologies to enhance ways of working.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Director, Program Manager or Portfolio Manager delivering large‑scale infrastructure programmes.
• Strategic leadership with a track record of anticipating needs, crafting responses and making data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to navigate competing priorities, align expectations and influence outcomes.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Understanding of various delivery and contractual models.
• Knowledge of legislative WHS requirements.
