Program Accountant

About the role

As a Program Accountant you will manage day‑to‑day transactional accounting activities, ensuring records are accurate, timely and compliant with AU GAAP. You will support financial decision‑making across the organisation while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Execute accounting and finance procedures with a strong focus on project accounting and revenue recognition.
• Generate and input financial transactions into the ERP system (D365) and perform self‑review of entries.
• Complete monthly close processes, analyse results, investigate variances and communicate findings.
• Prepare detailed general ledger reconciliations and ensure sub‑ledger alignment.
• Manage intercompany transactions, credit card facility and liaison with the ATO for compliance.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and project accounting.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to build effective relationships with all management levels.
• Commitment to company values, integrity and a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• ERP systems experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of revenue recognition, fixed assets and accruals.
