Production Planner

About the role

Schneider Electric is looking for a Production Planner to join its Energy Local Adaptation Centre in Gepps Cross, Adelaide. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining production plans that align with demand, capacity and customer priorities, ensuring timely delivery of energy‑related outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on capacity, demand and customer priorities.
• Monitor execution of plans, manage material and component allocation, and track finished‑goods inventory.
• Optimise material flow and resource utilisation to maximise output efficiency.
• Support demand and capacity planning, manage shortages and coordinate recovery actions.
• Analyse production and supply issues, drive resolutions and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to maintain planning data, track KPIs and generate reports for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply‑chain teams and external suppliers to ensure clear communication across all planning activities.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in production planning or supply‑chain planning.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• Understanding of manufacturing environments, preferably electronics or electrical.
• Strong analytical, data‑interpretation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
