Production Manager - Recycling Facility

About the role

Circular Plastics Australia, part of Pact Group, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join its Site Leadership Team. The role has full accountability for end-to-end manufacturing at a highly automated recycling facility producing about 20,000 tonnes of recycled resin per year. It is a senior operational leadership position with four direct reports and a team of 30 production operators, covering a multi-shift operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workplace health, safety and environment (WHSE) with full compliance to WHSE legislation and site procedures, partnering with WHSE teams on safety systems and risk controls, and conducting safety audits and investigations
• Oversee manufacturing across three shifts (24/5 and 24/7) and deliver production targets of approximately 20,000 tonnes per annum
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned to KPIs, ensure products meet specification and are delivered on time, and resolve fit-for-manufacture issues
• Drive continuous improvement, including lean manufacturing, using data and analytics to support decisions
• Lead, coach and develop operational teams, manage performance and engagement, and support training, capability development and succession planning
• Manage production schedules to achieve DIFOT targets

Required profile

• Solid tenure of people leadership experience in manufacturing
• Experience in plastics manufacturing and/or recycling
• Background in high-volume environments
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business
• Knowledge of Australian WHS regulations
