Production Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Production Assistant to join our fresh‑food retail team. You will help prepare, pack, weigh and assemble fresh products for sale, ensuring each order leaves the line on time and in perfect condition.

Key responsibilities

• Weigh, pack, label and price products accurately according to specifications.
• Pick stock for store allocation and keep the production line moving at a steady pace.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, preventing bottlenecks.
• Ensure the cold chain is preserved, keeping products at the correct temperature throughout the process.
• Manage raw‑material stock, spot and remove any items that do not meet quality standards.
• Follow all health, safety and food‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Passion for food and a reliable work ethic.
• Good communication skills and the ability to run multiple admin tasks without error.
• Strong attention to detail – right weight, right label, right pack.
• Organised and able to work in a fast‑paced, physically active environment.

Required skills

• Knife handling or basic hand‑tool skills.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food‑safety requirements.
• Accurate weighing, labeling and packaging techniques.
• Cold‑chain management.
