Product Governance Manager

About the role

The Product Governance Manager will ensure that ANZ’s retail products continuously meet regulatory obligations and deliver positive customer outcomes. Working closely with product owners, committees and risk partners, you will provide oversight, guidance and practical tools to embed robust governance across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools, templates and processes that support product governance activities.
• Assist product committees and product teams in reviewing product papers to confirm compliance with product policy, design and distribution obligations.
• Validate that committed compliance actions are delivered and identify any additional uplift activities required.
• Prepare and contribute to regulator update papers and internal audit issue remediation.
• Support the Product Governance Lead on regulatory uplift initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Assurance, Risk and other partners to ensure alignment with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide inputs for board and risk‑committee submissions related to product governance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders across multiple business areas and drive constructive outcomes.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting retail banking products, including product‑related obligations and design‑distribution rules.
• Experience in product governance, compliance or risk management within a financial services environment.
